Our Story

Creature Comforts Grooming is dedicated to providing a private, one-on-one grooming experience for your pet. We understand that your pet's safety and comfort is of utmost importance and strive to ensure they feel welcomed in our salon.

Unlike other busy and loud salons, we take a patient and gentle approach to grooming, using energy reading skills to make sure your pet feels comfortable in our salon. Quality over quantity is our motto, and we always take the time to build a relationship with your furry friend. If your pet is nervous when they first arrive, we take the time to get to know them and build trust over several visits. Your pet will always work with the same groomer so that they can build a positive relationship.

We specialize in stylized haircuts that not only highlight your dog’s personality but also showcase our creativity, precision, and deep understanding of coat structure and breed-specific grooming.

But our work goes beyond great haircuts—we are deeply committed to the science of skin and coat care.

Our lead groomer, Kathleen, is a certified Canine Skin Assessment Specialist, trained under the renowned Dr. Cliff Faver, a leading expert in veterinary dermatology. Kathleen is also undergoing advanced training to become a certified Canine Aesthetician, and Quantum Nutrition testing with a focus on skin health, coat function, and holistic grooming practices that support the whole animal.

In addition, she has completed formal training in The 15 Coat Types course led by Jennifer Bishop-Jenkins, one of the grooming industry’s most respected educators and advocates for science-based grooming. This in-depth education allows us to approach every groom with the knowledge needed to treat each dog’s unique skin and coat type appropriately, whether hand stripping a terrier, managing double coats, or supporting a dog with chronic skin issues.

Our philosophy is simple: a healthy coat starts with healthy skin, and every dog deserves grooming that’s both beautiful and biologically correct.

We believe that going to the groomer should be a relaxing and enjoyable experience for both you and your pet. We look forward to meeting you and your furry family members!
